Summer is over, and that can only mean one thing, Dreamforce is near.
Dreamforce is the biggest annual conference held by Salesforce. There are so many great reasons to attend Dreamforce. If you are a customer, partner or employee, there are so many opportunities to network, learn about new product features and experience all that’s great about the Salesforce Eco-system. With just over 5 weeks left to get ready, it's time to make sure you have everything in order.
Due to the sheer volume of attendees, Dreamforce takes place across a number of locations in downtown, San Francisco. Marc Benioff will be delivering the main Keynote in the Moscone Centre.
This year, Dreamforce will take place from Tuesday the 19th to Friday the 22nd of November.
It is important to prepare before Dreamforce. There are a lot of things you may not think/know of before attending, especially if it is your first time. Things like signing up for certain sessions early and keeping an eye on where the locations are on the map.
The first thing you should do is read as many 'Top Tips for Dreamforce' blog posts as you can.
Salesforce also shares videos of the keynotes, customer stories and more. You can check out what people had to say last year by looking at tweets and other social media shares from last year's hashtags (#DF18).
You will also want to download the Salesforce Events App. This is great for any big Salesforce event you are attending, not only Dreamforce. You can save what sessions you want to attend, check out all the details on keynotes, sessions, demos and more. There are also maps for each location to help you navigate around.
Make sure to also check out all the Dreamforce user groups. You can find a list of them here.
Transport & Accommodation
It’s important to organise your travel and accommodation as early as possible. When it comes to travel, attendees are coming from all over the world. Some may need to fly, some can get there by train or bus or car. Book your travel now while prices are still reasonable.
Some people book their hotel for a full year in advance. Don’t get a stuck booking at the last minute when prices are exorbitant.
There are a lot of options in the San Francisco area for you to stay. Starting off with official Hotels, you can book when registering. Next, you should check out all the normal compare websites like Expedia, hotels.com, etc. for hotels. After this, you can look at Airbnb and similar accommodation options. Luxury hostels and staying outside the city are also options.
Wherever you decide to stay, be sure to book as soon as possible to avoid the hassle, once registration opens, prices will increase rapidly.
Registration is now open. You can still register with a code here. Tickets prices for Dreamforce this year are $1,999.
Don’t forget about the after-parties. There are many events on in the evenings after the conference. This includes Dreamfest, Salesforce’s very own festival. Previous headliners include Metallica, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys and The Foo Fighters. There are many after-parties, breakfast meet-ups and more. You can check out this post from Salesforce Ben to see a list of what parties are happening at DF19!
Looking forward to seeing you all there! Let us know if you are planning on attending Dreamforce.
